United Way of Southern Nevada Welcomes New Board Leaders
LAS VEGAS – In a bid to strengthen its mission of promoting community resilience, the United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) has appointed two esteemed professionals to its Board of Directors. Jilian Monet Lopez, the Assistant Vice President of Community Engagement at HCA Healthcare – Far West Division, and Shane Rogers, Managing Director – Nevada at U.S. Bank, are set to enhance UWSN’s initiatives aimed at uplifting the Southern Nevada community amidst ongoing challenges.
Meet Jilian Lopez
Jilian Lopez is a seasoned leader with more than 11 years of expertise in community engagement and workforce development. She is recognized for her ability to cultivate partnerships and instigate positive societal change. Among her notable contributions is the coordination of Las Vegas’ Biggest Diaper Drive, which successfully gathered over 70,000 diapers for Baby’s Bounty through collaborative efforts involving employees, businesses, and community members. Additionally, she played a pivotal role in HCA Healthcare’s “mini hospital” initiative at Junior Achievement’s BizTown, promoting healthcare careers and health awareness to over 20,000 students and their families within the Clark County School District. Jilian holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Northwestern University, combining her educational background with a passion for community service.
Introducing Shane Rogers
Shane Rogers comes to UWSN with significant experience in wealth management and investment services, having held various senior leadership roles throughout his career. As the Managing Director – Nevada at U.S. Bank, he is responsible for spearheading strategic growth initiatives in the region. His extensive background in project management enables him to effectively steer complex endeavors and facilitate organizational transition. Beyond his professional merits, Shane is also a dedicated conservationist, currently acting as the Chairman of the Nevada Wildlife Commission. His commitment to both his profession and community underscores his valuable role on the UWSN Board.
