Rick Harrison: New Adventures in Aviation and Upcoming Nuptials
A New Hobby Takes Flight
In a recent conversation, Rick Harrison, the mastermind behind the popular show “Pawn Stars,” revealed his exciting foray into aviation. While walking to his airplane hangar—an unexpected addition to his repertoire—Harrison shared that he is actively learning to fly a two-seat Sirius sport aircraft.
“I always wanted to learn how to fly, but I kept putting it off and putting it off,” Harrison explained. “I figured, if I build an airplane hangar and buy an airplane, and get into it with a lot of money, I’ll learn to fly.”
Engagement Announcement
In personal news, Harrison announced his engagement to Angie Polushkin, a nurse at St. Rose Dominican Hospital. The couple plans to wed in January, potentially on a picturesque beach in Cancun—a location that fits the couple’s vibrant personalities.
The couple was introduced during a memorable event at Sammy Hagar’s show in October 2020, and the engagement was made public on March 6.
Pawn After Dark Podcast
Harrison, alongside co-host Austin “Chumlee” Russell, has also been staying active in the podcasting world with their show “Pawn After Dark,” which began in February. Although it is distinct from “Pawn Stars,” the podcast features celebrity guests and answers fan questions, drawing significant attention on platforms like YouTube, where an episode reached nearly 100,000 views recently.
Notable past guests include rock singer Bret Michaels and comedian Lou “The Hulk” Ferrigno, among others. The podcast is produced by Tracy Whittaker, the CEO of Rick Harrison Productions and an executive producer for “Pawn Stars” over the past 11 years.
The Future of Pawn Stars
Regarding the future of the “Pawn Stars” television series, discussions are ongoing about a potential return for its 22nd season. Harrison hinted at the possibility of another show featuring himself and Chumlee, though updates on the show’s progression remain to be confirmed.
However, it appears that Rick’s son, Corey Harrison, will not participate in future episodes. Having relocated to Tulum, Mexico, Corey has expressed a desire to step back from the show and take a break from his career—“He’s well off enough to where he really doesn’t have to work. So why not? I think he wants to take a few years off,” Rick commented.
