United Way of Southern Nevada (UWSN) has announced the appointment of Mike Katigbak as the organization’s Chief Financial Officer (CFO). With over three decades of experience in both corporate and nonprofit financial management, Katigbak is set to enhance UWSN’s financial strategies and operations aimed at promoting transparency, sustainability, and a positive community impact.

Professional Background
Katigbak is a licensed Chartered Professional Accountant in Canada and holds an MBA focusing on Corporate Finance. His work history encompasses a variety of sectors, including education, healthcare, and financial services, providing him with a well-rounded foundation in both large and mid-sized organizations, as well as public institutions.
Most recently, he held the position of Senior Director of Finance and Administration for Student Life Business Services at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV). His diverse background positions him as a key player in steering UWSN towards financial resilience and efficacy.
Goals as CFO
In his new role, Katigbak will concentrate on strengthening UWSN’s financial base by ensuring compliance and transparency, along with fostering long-term sustainability. His leadership will significantly contribute to amplifying UWSN’s ability to assist individuals and families in Southern Nevada effectively.
