Leadership Update at the Mayor’s Fund for Las Vegas LIFE
(Las Vegas, Nev. – April 25, 2025) — Significant changes have taken place at the Mayor’s Fund for Las Vegas LIFE, a key organization aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents in Las Vegas. The Fund has recently appointed Will Rucker as vice chair and has welcomed Jonathan Jossel to its board of directors.
Will Rucker Takes on New Role
Will Rucker, who has been a member of the Mayor’s Fund board since 2023, has been appointed to the role of vice chair. In his professional capacity, Rucker serves as the Director of Community Health – Nevada for Intermountain Health. He is committed to initiatives that focus on health equity and strive to improve health outcomes specifically in Southern Nevada.
In addition to his managerial role, Rucker operates a speaking and coaching business that emphasizes inclusivity and value-driven leadership. He hosts two prominent podcasts: “Compassionate Las Vegas—the Podcast” and “A Healthier Tomorrow,” where he explores important health and wellness topics. Currently, he is pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Health from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with an emphasis on social determinants of health.
Jonathan Jossel Joins the Board
Jonathan Jossel takes on the role of the newest board member. As the CEO of the Plaza Hotel & Casino, he has played a crucial role in rejuvenating the hotel’s brand and energizing the downtown Las Vegas atmosphere. Notably, Jossel spearheaded the Main Street Reimagination project, a substantial investment aimed at revitalizing the Plaza’s entrance and enhancing the vibrancy of the downtown area.
Settled in the heart of downtown, Jossel and his family are dedicated to fostering the growth and development of Las Vegas as a vital economic center in the region.
