Raiders Roster Update After Rookie Minicamp
In a series of roster changes executed quickly after their rookie minicamp, the Las Vegas Raiders have signed six players who impressed during their tryout sessions. Among the new additions are linebacker Jaylon Smith, formerly with the Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants, and safety Jonathan Sutherland, who played at Penn State.
Roster Adjustments
To accommodate these new players, the Raiders have waived five athletes. This list includes veteran linebacker Amari Burney, a sixth-round pick in the 2023 NFL Draft, and defensive tackle Matthew Butler, who was selected in the fifth round last year.
New Signings
In addition to Smith and Sutherland, the Raiders have also signed:
- Wide receivers Ketron Jackson Jr. and Key’Shawn Smith
- Defensive end Jahfari Harvey
- Linebacker Wesley Steiner
Waived and Released Players
As part of these roster moves, the team also waived wide receiver Tyreik McAllister, tackle Dominic Boyd, and linebacker Brandon Smith. Additionally, they released wide receiver Kristian Wilkerson.
