Dopo Pizza and Pasta
On April 2, Dopo Pizza and Pasta launched its second location at 190 S. Center St., formerly the home of Sizzle Pie. Founded in August 2021 by Greg Buchheister, who also owns Coffeebar, Dopo specializes in made-from-scratch pizzas, salads, and pasta dishes. The restaurant features an extensive drink selection, including Italian wines and artisanal cocktails, and offers outdoor seating on a spacious patio. Toro Bravo
Located in the Riverwalk District at 50 N. Sierra St., Toro Bravo brings a unique twist to the dining landscape by combining a Mexican steakhouse experience with a casual vibe. This restaurant is a collaboration between Rene Preciado of Mexcal and Sergio Romero of La Condesa. Currently open for dinner, plans to roll out lunch service in the months ahead are in the works. Reno Bar and Grill
Opened on April 3 at 903 E. Fourth St., Reno Bar and Grill covers 5,500 square feet and marks founder Shane Mathias’ first foray into brick-and-mortar dining after years in catering, particularly with Big Blue Q. The menu features an array of burgers, sandwiches, and seafood options, along with a selection of homemade ice cream. The restaurant prides itself on sourcing ingredients from local vendors. Roamer Coffee House
Formerly known as Hand Craft Coffee, Roamer Coffee House has relocated to 300 S. Wells Ave., Suite 5, and recently opened a new spot at 726 Glendale Ave. in Sparks. Finbomb Sushi Burrito and Poke Bar
Finbomb has reestablished itself across from the University of Nevada, Reno, in Suite 102 at 1385 N. Virginia St. Open daily from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., the eatery specializes in customizable poke bowls, ramen, and sushi burritos. Follow their journey on Instagram.
Lillo Eatery
Taking over the location previously occupied by Pola Poke at 3594 Plumb Lane, Suite A, Lillo Eatery serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Drink Coffee, Do Stuff
This popular coffee shop opened a new branch at 95 Foothill Road on April 19, creating excitement with a launch day that saw a line stretching out the door. With established locations in Truckee, Incline Village, and South Lake Tahoe, their beverages are known for a sweeter, less bitter flavor profile. Chili enthusiasts can look forward to the return of the annual Chili on the Comstock festival, celebrating its 43rd year on C Street in Virginia City.
